Downtown Foley's Third Thursday Turns One – And the Fun is Just Getting Started!

Community Invited to Celebrate Anniversary, Support Local, and Join New Summer Bingo Challenge

FOLEY, AL (June 8, 2025) – Get ready to raise a glass (or a shopping bag)! Downtown Foley's Third Thursday event series is hitting a major milestone: its one-year anniversary on Thursday, June 19th. Organizers are gearing up for a special celebration, reflecting on a year of growth, community spirit, and a steadfast commitment to making downtown the place to be every third Thursday of the month.

This first year has been a journey of building momentum, and the progress is something to celebrate. "We're incredibly proud of what our downtown businesses and the community have built together in this first year," said Wes Abrams, President of Foley Main Street. "Like any new venture, it takes time, dedication, and a lot of heart. We've seen wonderful enthusiasm and know that with continued support, Third Thursdays will only get bigger and better. It's truly about fostering a vibrant atmosphere where people can stroll, shop, dine, and connect."

A special toast goes to the pioneering businesses who jumped in from the very beginning, helping to lay the foundation for Third Thursday's success. These include: Paint Party Studio, Raw Amour Jewelry, Dorothy June Booksellers, Fish River Furnishings and Art Gallery, Feast, and the Foley Art Center. Their early commitment and ongoing participation with unique specials, discounts, and in-store events have been instrumental.

And to make our First Anniversary Third Thursday even more engaging – and to directly foster that crucial community spirit – we're thrilled to launch the Downtown Foley Summer Bingo Challenge! Pick up your Summer Bingo card this Third Thursday, June 19th, at participating businesses and start collecting stamps! You'll have three months to fill your card, with each month's Third Thursday bringing a fresh, fun theme:

• June (Anniversary Kick-Off!): Celebrate "Our Big One!" – the First Year Anniversary of Third Thursday – as you begin your bingo journey.

• July (Patriotic Fun!): It's "Never Too Late to Celebrate the Red, White, and Blue!" Show your community pride while getting those stamps.

• August (Summer Finale!): Mark the "End of Summer & Bingo Bonanza!" as all completed Bingo cards are due, giving you a chance to win $250 in fabulous downtown gift cards.
